Fleas are a lifecycle problem. The adults you see are a small fraction of what is in the property; the rest are eggs, larvae and pupae in the carpet and soft furnishings. Treating only what you can see is why it comes back two weeks later.
What we treat, and where.
- Interior treatment of carpet, rugs, soft furnishings and pet resting areas
- Growth regulator to break the lifecycle rather than just killing adults
- Yard treatment focused on shade, mulch and where animals rest
- Tick treatment along fence lines, tall grass and animal runs
- Coordination with whatever your vet has your animals on
- Bites around ankles and lower legs
- Pets scratching, or dark specks in their bedding that turn red when damp
- Small dark insects that jump rather than fly
- A surge two weeks after a treatment — that is the pupae hatching, and it is normal
Vacuum before we come
Vacuuming does two useful things: it removes a large share of eggs and larvae, and the vibration triggers pupae to hatch so the treatment reaches them while they are vulnerable. Vacuum thoroughly before the visit, empty it outside, and keep vacuuming daily for a fortnight afterwards. It measurably shortens the job.

Do I need to treat my pets too?
Yes. Treating the property without treating the animals means reinfestation. Your vet handles the animals, we handle the property, and the two need to happen close together.
Why did I see more fleas after treatment?
Pupae hatching. It is expected and it means the treatment is working on the stage you could not previously reach.
